LG Netcast Televisions Get App Happy

LG Netcast now has an App for that.
Internet TV is relatively new, but growing strong. The likes of Samsung, Sony and LG are continually bolstering their arsenal of web applications and LG are the latest to add to their range. Yesterday LG announced they would be adding 9 new Apps to their Netcast range of televisions, one of which being the almighty BBC iPlayer.

Apps available on Netcast
BBC iPlayer - you should know what this is, if not get out of your cave and click here!
MLB.tv - Major league baseball (someone over here must like it?)
Viewster - Movies on demand
Twitter - For tweeting
vTuner - Internet Radio
Picasa - Photo/picture sharing/viewing tool
Acetrax - Movies on demand
YouTube - Online video
Facebook - For stalking Social Networking
Accedo - Interactive TV Games
Google Maps - Uhm, Maps.
AccuWeather - Forecast service

A rather impressive addition I think you'l agree. Bumping the total number of Apps from  a measly 3 to a beefy 12. LGs Netcast is taking on its rivals with brute force.

If you all ready own a LG Netcast enables television you can download the updates simply by hooking up your TV to a broadband internet connection (2mb+ recommended for streaming services) either by Ethernet or wirelessly via an LG compatible WiFi USB dongle. Hit the [Netcast] button and whammy, an update will ensue and your moments away from a world of web, on your TV!
