As some brilliant movies get released on Blu-Ray, time for a new Blu-Ray player perhaps?

Over the next few weeks in the run up to Christmas there are some amazing films that are going to be released on Blu-Ray and it’s a shame to have to miss out if you don’t yet have a Blu-Ray disc player, or the one you do have could do with an upgrade! So why not treat yourself (and your family if you have one) to the latest technology on the market and enjoy movies in true style. So let’s look at what you have got to look forward to on Blu-ray shortly or what has just come out:

1. Despicable Me 2: Gru and the oh-so-cute Minions are back in Despicable Me 2. And this time round, the Minions find themselves embroiled in a dramatic kidnap plot. This one isn’t just for kids! And will appeal to everyone and as its animation you can expect the graphics on Blu-ray to be stunning.

2. Red 2: Bruce Willis reprises his role as ex-CIA agent Frank Moses in this star-studded sequel to the action comedy based on D.C. Comics' cult graphic novel. Frank is brought out of retirement once again when he is asked to track down a nuclear device which has fallen into the wrong hands. In order to find out the device's location he must first speak to Edward Bailey (Anthony Hopkins), the scientist responsible for its creation, but to make matters worse his old partner Victoria (Helen Mirren) has been contracted to kill him with the help of a much renowned deadly assassin (Byung-hun Lee).

3. The Wolverine (3D and 2D): This stand-alone epic-action adventure set in modern day Japan reveals the untold story of Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), the most iconic character from the X-Men universe, and evolves the character saga to new levels of depth, intensity and visceral action. Out of his depth in an unknown world he will face a host of unexpected and deadly opponents in a life-or-death battle than will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than ever before.

4. The Worlds End: For Gary King (Simon Pegg) and Andy Knightley (Nick Frost) it was supposed to be the ultimate reunion - one night, five friends, twelve bars. A boozy quest to 'The World's End' pub on which only the strongest will survive. Having the time of their lives, they're ready to take on the world... but tonight they might just have to save it. From Edgar Wright, Director of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, comes a wildly entertaining thrill ride of outrageous humour and explosive action that will raise a glass to the apocalypse.

5. Man Of Steel: Directed by Zack Snyder and produced by Christopher Nolan (who also directed The Dark Knight), Man of Steel is an action-packed blockbuster about the most recognised comic book hero of all time: Superman. (released 2nd December)

6. Jurassic Park 3D: Lets face it we all love this which is probably one of the classic movies of all time! Released on 16th December in 3D Blu-Ray you can experience one of the most influential films  of all time as the release celebrates its 20 year anniversary.
