The BBC announced this week that it will be, as predicted, showing the Wimbledon finals in 3D via its BBC HD channel.
This free-to-view broadcast is available to anyone who has a 3D ready television and access to BBC HD. BBC HD is available on Freeview channel 54, Freesat channel 109, Sky channel 169 and Virgin Media channel 187.
The finals (July 2nd and Sunday 3rd of July) will mark Wimbledon's 125th anniversary AND a landmark in broadcasting as BBC will be broadcasting the first UK Public 3D event.
Danielle Nagler, head of BBC HD says:
"I'm delighted that in this anniversary year we're bringing UK audiences a new way of getting close to the action on Centre Court. I'm sure that 3D will only add to the drama as the world's greatest players compete for the championship."
The event is also being shown in selected cinema's across the UK, with the BBC offering a few screening to the public for free! Tickets are on random allocation, click -here- to register.

|LG 42LW450U - 42" 3D 1080p LED with TruMotion 100Hz|
Lg's Fantastic 42" LED 42LW450U is proving to be our most popular 'middle ground' 3D Television. Helped by the fact that SKY are offering £100 cashback off the price for their customers (which is nice). This Passive 3D Screen (meaning your glasses do not need batteries/charging. You can even use your cinema specs if you fancy) boasts an impressive spec. Full HD 1080p, perfect for blu-ray and crisp 3D imagery, 100Hz TruMotion for reducing motion blur (again, ideal for live sports). We are also offering the LG BD660 3D Ready Bluray Player for only £89.99 with this (and our other LG 3D Televisions). The perfect partnership.
