Confused by the latest release of Ultra HD 4K TVs? Then let us help you out!

When new technology hits the market it can often be a confusing time for many people as its not always explained that well by manufacturers so we can be put off buying a new product as we are wary of getting something that we don’t fully understand. So if this is something you worry about then let us see if we can help you out in that department!

Ultra HD is really just as simple as the name says and is referred to by a number of different names depending on the manufacturer but whether its 4K, 4K Ultra HD, Ultra HD or any other name you may come across the technology behind it is still the same. We will make it easier and just call it 4K!
To put it in real simple terms 4K resolution is really what it sounds like, four times the quality of normal HD quality which has been amended in order to be able to display this higher resolution onto a normal widescreen format for TVs. So as it offers this although regular High Definition quality is jaw dropping on its own merits, imagine watching content with 4 times the picture resolution!

Samsung have brought out a range of 4K Televisions which are now available to purchase from our website. There is the 55 inch and 65 inch Samsung F9000 versions available but whichever one you decide to go for there are the same amazing brilliant features. Four times the resolution of standard high definition, the  Samsung F9000 sets feature a Samsung Quadmatic Picture Engine, Quad Core processing and Precision Black/Micro Dimming LED technology for deeper blacks.

Wondering what content you would be able to watch on a 4K TV? Then this is being worked on. Sky have recently carried out a 4K trial broadcast by using a English Premier League Match between West Ham and Stoke City. Imagine watching your favourite football team play in ultra high definition. It really is amazing. Sky are also now working on providing live TV in 4K resolution as well so keep your eyes on this space for more updates. Recently when the Wimbledon Tennis championship was being aired the BBC and Sony trialled 4K broadcasts so there will be plenty of content to arrive. It’s not just all about watching 4K content though as even watching your normal TV viewing on a 4K TV would be brilliant, offering you the chance to experience detail in a way you have never seen it before!

It’s not all just TV viewing either as there have been some Mastered in Blu-ray discs released including some great titles: The Amazing Spiderman, Total Recall (2012), Ghostbusters, Battle: Los Angeles, The Karate Kid (2010), Taxi Driver, Angels & Demons, Glory, The Other Guys, Spider-Man (2002).

So now you maybe have a clearer idea of what 4K has to offer you, why not have a look at the Samsung F9000 range on our website, or if you still need any help deciding or need more information then either call into our store in Bury or give us a call on 0161 359 3011.

LG have now become Manchester City Football Clubs official digital display partner

At Electrical Experience we are always on the lookout for new developments that we can share with you and this new story certainly does fit the bill.

The well know manufacturer LG have now become Manchester City Football Clubs official digital display partner which is a 2 year deal which allows LG to provide cutting edge display technology to the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, home of the world famous MCFC football team. As part of this to cover the 2013/2014 Barclays Premier League LG filled the Etihad Stadium with over 360 Premium LED screens ranging from 22-inch to 47-inch, were installed throughout the stadium’s premium suites, hospitality boxes, fan concourses and food and beverage kiosks.

It’s not just in the stadium either than screens have been installed as more than 320 flat-screens, which can be used as TV or digital signage, will also feature in the City Football Academy which opens its doors next year and is adjacent to the Etihad Stadium.

Whether you are a supporter of the club or not it’s exciting news and reinforces LG’s already superb reputation for being able to provide consumers with amazing technology and stunningly clear images. This especially important as when you are watching sporting action be it football or other sports, you really don’t want to be missing out on any of the action due to poor quality image reproduction. With LG televisions you definitely won’t have to worry about this!

Commenting on the partnership, Chief Commercial & Operating Officer for Manchester City Football Club, Tom Glick said: “LG’s reputation for designing innovative consumer products and applying new technologies throughout five decades has reinforced the brand’s status as a global leader within the electronics industry”.

So this as you can see is an amazing partnership between 2 well-known brands. If you don’t have any of LG’s stunning line up of Televisons yet, then why not check out the wide selection that we have to choose from, and maybe you can treat yourself to a new TV to enjoy the football action on.
